Volume 5 Issue 4 (Spring, 2004) $10

This twentieth issue is printed on ivory paper and is 28 pages in length.  It discusses how studios are choosing to stay away from controversy rather than release provocative classics on DVD, the history of hockey films and — in great detail — the movies of 1939.  This issue also contains seventeen recent release reviews, two pages of DVD recommendations, my first column of cinema book recommendations, discussions of the aftermath of the Oscars, “event” movies of 2003, the best films of that year and the then-current Sexiest Woman in Cinema (Nicole Kidman).

While copies remain, this issue sells for $10 postpaid, which includes shipping to destinations in the United States and Canada.
